Brothers Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Lewiston

On October 15, 2024, the Lewiston Police Department executed a search warrant at 108 Pierce Street, Apartment #3, leading to the arrest of two brothers, Haji Haji, 26, and Ali Haji, 22, both residents of Lewiston. The police report indicated that the search uncovered substantial evidence related to drug trafficking.
During the search, officers seized the following items:
- 12 grams of cocaine base
- 10 grams of fentanyl
- Two firearms, including:
- One handgun that had been reported stolen
- One shotgun
- Over $15,000 in suspected drug proceeds
Both brothers were taken to Androscoggin County Jail for booking. Haji Haji, currently on probation for unlawful trafficking in scheduled B drugs, faces charges of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, a Class A offense, along with a probation hold. Ali Haji is charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs, a Class A offense, theft by receiving stolen property, a Class B offense, and criminal forfeiture.
As of Tuesday night, Haji Haji was held on $15,000 bail in addition to his probation hold, while Ali Haji was held on $25,000 bail. The investigation involved assistance from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
