**Beloved Coach and Community Hero, Richard B. Norcross, Passes Away**

LEWISTON, MAINE – The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA has announced the passing of Richard B. Norcross, a longtime figure in the community and a fundamental supporter and mentor in Youth Basketball. Dick Norcross passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 82.

Norcross had a lifetime connection with the YMCA’s Youth Basketball program. Starting as a player in his youth, he went on to dedicate decades to the program as a coach in the 1970s and 1980s. Through his guidance, he instilled not just basketball skills, but also the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance in the young athletes he mentored.
