**Looking Back Through History in Lewiston and Auburn, Maine**
Lewiston-Auburn YMCA shared a glimpse into the past on a cold winter day, showcasing photos that highlight the historical beauty of the region.
One of the featured images is from 1890 and depicts the Androscoggin River below the North Bridge. In this snapshot of history, the frozen landscape showcases the river's stillness during winter over a century ago.
The second image dates back to January 1925 and focuses on the Lewiston Armory, an important landmark in the area. The winter scene captures the location in its early days.
Both photos were originally posted with the help of the Androscoggin Historical Society, celebrated for preserving and sharing the rich heritage of the Lewiston-Auburn area.
It’s a fascinating look back for residents and history enthusiasts alike, providing a window into life in the early days of this Maine community.
