**Hoopsters Basketball Program Opens Registration for 2025 Season**

The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA has officially opened registration for its 2025 Hoopsters Basketball program, aimed at teaching boys and girls in Kindergarten and Grade 1 basketball fundamentals. The five-game season will run from March 9th through April 13th, 2025.

**Key Details:**

- **Who:** Boys and girls in Kindergarten and 1st Grade

- **When:**

- Practices will occur once a week on Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 5–6 PM or 6–7 PM, depending on the coach's schedule.

- Games start Sunday, March 16th, with matches at either 9:30 AM or 10:30 AM.

- **Where:** Practices will be held at the YMCA Gymnasium (62 Turner St, Auburn, ME), and games will take place at either the YMCA or the Lewiston Armory (65 Central Ave, Lewiston, ME).

- **Cost:** $57 for YMCA Members and $67 for Non-Members

The program features 4 vs. 4 games playing 8-minute quarters, helping kids polish skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense in a team-oriented environment. Participation is capped at 32 players.

**Player Evaluations:**

To ensure balanced teams, a player evaluation session will be held Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at 5:30 PM at 62 Turner St in Auburn.
